CONSUMERS NOT READY FOR FACIAL RECOGNITION 

This year, technology like facial recognition and ‘Scan & Go’ shopping capabilities are at the forefront of the retail conversation. But consumer perception of this tech is mixed:

  • 45% of shoppers said they would be concerned about their privacy with facial recognition.

  • Nearly half (44%) of consumers would rather use ‘Scan & Go’ than wait in a check-out line.
